I think this started not with yesterday's (7/1) patch but the previous patch, but I can't drag dishes, cooked meals, or trash into the sink or outdoor trash can. Cooked meals can be dragged into the fridge or the sim's inventory, it's just the trash and sinks that aren't working.
I’m having the same problem, although I didn’t notice it until the most recent update went through. Hopefully they realize it pretty soon and try to fix that. It’s gonna get annoying lol.

Same. Unable to drag garbage to trash cans, or dirty plates to sinks or dishwasher.
