The game will load me in but once I click on my house hold it either just loads and have to restart the game or it just takes me back to the worlds and it’s just glitching.

Ideas
On one specific save (I can't seem to encounter this on my other saves), I am able to go into build and buy and also cas for any lot or household but when I try to actually play the game no matter which household my game gets stuck on the loading screen for ever and I have to force close the game with task manager. I've had loading issues before and game crashes, but nothing to this extent/ typically fixes after relaunching.
Before the update, I backed up all my saves, but the issue still occurs in the backed-up version. I have tried with and without mods, and I have done all the clear-cache stuff and tried to repair through the EA app. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be very appreciative.
I have the same thing. It might be something to do with the family tree update. I have over 40 households with many generational links. Waiting to see if they come up with a further update to fix this problem.

I tested your save that Puz sent me and I can't load your save at all. I tried deleting all the households and just keeping one from the upcoming pack (I have early access, thanks to EA for that) and it still wouldn't load.
Hopefully EA can figure out what's going on with all the saves that have been provided so far.

jellybeanboi05 amlewe2 Please open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and deelte any lastexception files you see. Try again to load this save, and if and when it doesn't work, look for a new lastexception. If you find one, open the file, copy its contents, and paste them into a reply here.
If you don't see a lastexception, that's also of note—I believe the family tree issue being discussed doesn't necessarily create one. But if you do have an LE, it may point to a specific issue that can be addressed.
Separately, would either of you be willing to share your saves? We're trying to collect some that crash or won't load after the latest patch, whether the issue is related to the family tree or not. If you're interested, upload your saves to a free filesharing service (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and either post the link here or send it to me via PM. If you use Google Drive, make sure that "anyone with the link" can see the upload.
I deleted the lastexception files and started the game again. There wasn't a new file there afterwards.
