Every update causes more problems

Every time they release a new patch it seems to make my game even worse. I have been unable to save my game, I get error code 0. To save I have to use save as and save it as a completely new file. Now my sims romance is immediately dropping to zero. My married sims went from a full romance bar to nothing for no reason, and when I tried to do romantic interactions the romance level would increase a little bit then drop immediately back to nothing. And my cats are getting phone calls about random sims that have died and then the cats are sad for several days. (I will admit it’s a bit humorous that my cats are getting phone calls and apparently have their own personal cell phones.)
