It was a one time thing, it did put me off playing The Sims 4 because I spent about an hour playing and then it suddenly lagged and froze. I guess I just need to save regularly. I had to force my laptop into shutdown mode, as if I recall correctly, once frozen on the introductory title screen (usually seen when opening The Sims 4) I couldn't exit it.
To be sure, you've tried galloping again and it didn't freeze ?
I'll check your DxDiag later. Bit crazy atm.
