Well, after installing the new expansion today, I finally, FINALLY have more than 9 friends. It seems my game is magically fixed. I even added a new one, quite and restarted... and they stayed! I think this issue is fixed for me :)
Happy for you. It is so much easier having simmers I follow in an easy to access area.
