[FR] Objects randomly catch on fire after solved cursed book event

After getting the For Rent pack recently, things in my Sim's home start combusting randomly a bit after destroying the cursed book? I can't go 10 minutes without several fires? Some are like electric...

I've had the same issue a while after solving the cursed book event. Really really frustrating, fires were popping up every sim hour or so. Repairing the game didn't help. Using the cheat to disable all fires also didnt help.

I managed to fix it by doing the following (not sure which step actually fixed it or if it was a combination of several of them:
