I created a 5 unit rental building, everything has been great, working fine. Couple months ago I uploaded the build to the gallery and seem to have had problems ever since.
Originally this 6 Glitched named unit was named 2 unit (pink), but whatever happened, I don't know/remember exactly but there is no tenant (died or lease up) but it's been weeks that I have been trying different things to figure this out or fix why it says there is no tenant, but can't fill the vacancy, can't delete the unit because it says there is a tenant.
I added another unit and named it 2 rockside, and renamed the one that doesn't work to 6 Glitched, but think something was overlapping and remained for 6 Glitched because even tho the 2 Rockside in pink has been rebuilt there, it's still saying the 6 Glitched exists. When travelling to the 6 Glitched unit, it just has my Sim standing outside at the front of the building and can't go anywhere.
I added a new unit, deleted the unit, rebuilt the unit, renamed the unit, reassigned all the rooms to one, then reassign individually again. Tried to move someone in to try to evict, still nothing changes. Found something that seemed like it was an overlap of rooms, so deleted both of them and rebuilt and reassigned the units again. The yellow 6 Glitched remains in my list. I can rename the shared unit to the 6 glitch room, and tried to delete, but still could not cause it says it has a tenant. So I have to close out without saving to get my shared room back to shared because it won't allow deleting of anything that belongs to 6 Glitched, even tho there is no sim for that unit.
I am on new this year desktop PC, no mods, no CC. All original gameplay. Have tried the repair option in the EA menu as well.
HELP! I want this phantom unit gone!

I have now since tried a suggestion to see about changing the lot to commercial to residential to res rental.
I moved out my sim family and the last remaining tenant. I reassigned all rooms to the red home unit and it does not allow me to change the lot still stating that a tenant is there and must be moved out first.
After assigning all rooms to the Red 3 Home Unit, it still shows the Yellow Glitched unit and apparently the Blue unit! The blue unit shows the unhide and delete buttons, but when I unhide, it shows nothing outlined in blue and nothing happens when I try to delete the unit.
Yellow glitched unit still won't allow me to do anything with the buttons, and still tells me the unit has tenants.

EvilEmpressElle Have you tried having the landlord sell the building and then moving out all the tenants via Manage Households (MH)? The problem apartment will still be a mess at that point. One thing you haven't mentioned is, are you able to move a tenant into the glitched apartment using MH? If you can, that might clear up the issue when you move the household out. Tbh, I doubt it will though but worth a try anyway. Next thing is once you've got the building sold and tenants out is to go to build from the map. Rather than change the apartment spaces to an apartment, change them all to shared. Then see if you can change the venue. Another thing you can try with the building unowned and empty is to save it to your library, then bulldoze and replace the lot with the library copy.
And if none of that works, I am willing to troubleshoot the lot. All you need to do is upload the lot to the Gallery and reply here with the name of the lot and your user id if different than you use here 9EvilEmpressElle).

I moved out my sim/landord family. Moved out all tenants that seen actual Sim bodies/names. Sold the building. Assigned all rooms to the 3 Home Unit (red unit outline).
Tried to bulldoze the lot, but it won't let me because it says there is a tenant.
It is still showing the 1 Rockside (blue unit outline), and the 6 Glitched (yellow) units, with the yellow unit saying it's currently occupied, yet I just can not see anything that is outlined in the yellow unit outline. And it apparently is saying there is still a unit with the blue outline!?!? The blue outline however can hide/unhide as there is no tenant apparently.
That does sound similar. I am not actually wanting to change my lot to a residential lot, I want it to be a rental unit, and have had it up to now as a successful rental unit. But for months now, and I don't know what was done different if anything. I assume the tenant died or left, but it's still saying there is something there but there isn't a name in my tenant list.
So not I have done deleting and reassigning, and tried moving in, moving out, and it is still listed, but I see nothing physically there.
I can not bulldoze the lot, because it says there is a tenant. But that is my concern, if I can bulldoze or manual delete every thing and have a bare lot, it's still going to tell me I can not do anything with the lot and I will have deleted everything for nothing :( :/
