Still an issue, this just happened to me. I tried exiting out of the big fullscreen ad and everything froze. Esc button didn't work. Had to turn off my computer. I'm very sick of this. EA needs to stop it with these ads, it's infuriating enough that they're there without the game also freezing because of them.
