Game unresponsive while building

I play on console ps4, never had problems before, I updated my game on Thursday and installed the Enchanted by Nature pack. Since then I haven't been able to play the Sims at all. Within a short time it becomes unresponsive in build mode and if I try to switch back to live mode my sims are all frozen. I also can't save the game (it just keeps loading) so I have no choice but to close the game. It seems to trigger quicker if I start trying to edit roofs on my build.
