[GF] Actor: Hair not getting done/ Task not ticking off

The makeup and hair interaction on the set begins, but the makeup artist applies makeup and then stops. She doesn't finish the hair and indicates that the action is in progress. She still leaves the station, and I can't get past this stage. I'm playing without any mods. I've tried repairing the game, uninstalling, resetting the Sims and chair, and going to a different film set, but nothing works. The only way to get a silver medal for the film is to skip this interaction. There's no other way to get past this glitch, and I want a gold medal. Please help. I think this glitch is due to the new update.
