Following up on a previous report (see URL below), my current sandbox save file has an issue with celebrities that I didn’t see under the Fame & Celebrities section of the Get Famous Compiled list of reported issues.
If the gameplay config for fame to be opt-in (i.e., instead of always having to quit the spotlight with all my Sims, i only have to step on the spotlight with the ones I actually want to be famous) is selected when starting a save file, no actual celebrities will be generated. Pre-made celebrities (e.g., Judith Ward) show up and have the celebrity shine and walk style, but when I click on them, there’s no celebrity level accompanying their name and there’s no celebrity-specific social interactions (e.g., ask for autograph, attempt introduction).
After unchecking the option, so fame is opt-out (the default config), the game started generating actual celebrities again, with the correct social interactions and fame level under their names, but the ones who were glitched before changing back the option remain glitched (no celebrity interactions and unlocked social introductions of all kinds).
Playing on console, so mod-free certified.
