Ghost Sims don't get tips while playing guitar

I noticed that my ghost sim never gets tips when playing guitar in public. The human sims get tips as usual, however it doesn't matter how long the ghost sim is playing, she never gets any tips... I've no mods installed. My ghost sim is also a spellcaster if it makes any difference.
