Gifts from various sources not owned/sellable/visible in collection

I have this issue as well - it has been an issue since the DLC came out. This means I can't sell them on a selling table, etc. You can sell them in the Sim's inventory, but only by using Multiselect. Playing on PC with mods/CC, but have removed these and tested with multiple saves and mods/CC do not affect this issue.

Hi! So dust bunnies were in my sims house. And I asked them to look for collectables. And they found some stuff and put it in my inventory. I tried selling it straight from my sims inventory but it said I couldn’t. So I placed it in world and it says my sim doesn’t own it and put it back in her inventory. Only way to bypass this is opening build mode and selling it there. 
Yes I play with CC on PC. 

Please follow these steps to test  your game on vanilla game with no mods/cc

• Create a backup of your save game
• Move your mods folder to the desktop
  • Delete the following files from your user folder.
  • localthumbcache
  • Any lastException Files
  • Any LastCrash files.
• Test on the backup of your save as you will loose all cc on the save and see if the same error occurs, then report back.

Alrighty I took out all the CC and did everything u told me. Unfortunately the problem still persists without them. 

Do you have the issue only with the dust bunny found items or also others ? Does it also happen if you get gifted something ?

Yes it also happens to my sims get gifted by other sims. I loaded into a different family and had that sim gift my sim some objects (crystals and fossils) so when I loaded into my original sims household it still did this. I originally found the bug that way but I didn’t think too much about it until stumbling across it again with the dust bunnies.
