[PH] [GRO] Teens/Kids getting stuck in phases

This could easily turn into a multi-bug report but will limit just to the subject line.  I don't know if childhood phases other than picky eater are also involved.

I aged a child up to teen via the birthday cake.  The picky eater childhood phase is stuck on her, along with no third trait option, that while a problem, is not what this report is directed to.    The neutral confidence disappeared but she wasn't awarded high self esteem, which should have been the case.  Yet another separate report.  I'll find other reports on issues encountered with this particular age up and comment there, although I suspect the problems encountered are related.

This is not a new save but one that I have played for a while.

  • I didn't see a way to edit this post so have a clarification to make.  After posting, I realized that perhaps teens were also subject to the picky eater childhood phase and it looks like they are.  However, I do think this phase is stuck.

I play on long life and play rotationally in this save.  The teen has had the phase throughout her entire childhood and now into the teen stage.  I know that years ago playing rotationally could cause the phases to get stuck but don't know if that was ever fixed.  If it was, it's back.

Okay, I see the cogwheel now.  I thought it would be on the report, not at the top of the page under the avatar.  Thanks crinrict for pointing me in the right direction.

Yes, that bug report is what I am seeing.  I have children stuck in phases in all three of the households that I play.  I usually try to stay with a household to clear a phase but have forgotten.  I've actually had a phase apparently start while I'm not actively in one of the households.

The only reason I know that has happened is because I have one of my sim children as leader of the children's club, with the rest as members.  After starting a club meeting, one of the children of a family I was away from showed up in the bear costume.  I was able to get the bear phase to remove by switching back to the household right after the club meeting ended.  I don't know how it would have ended up if I had been away for a week.  By observation, the picky eater phase seems to be the worst offender for getting stuck.

You and everyone else ;) It's really hard to find up there.

Going to use this as new thread for that bug then.
