[GT] Clubs: Can't have multiple admission rule for same category

I can't duplicate this in my game. Still works fine. Did you delete the localthumbcache file and di you try a folder reset ?

Thanks, crinrict. I have deleted the locathumbcache file and have done a folder resest and continue to run in to this issue.

Selecting multiple traits within one rule slot like in the photo you attached is not the issue I'm running into.

This is from an older save with a club created before recent updates and B&H: two requirement slots are able to have the trait category. 

If I try to replicate this set up in a new save with a new club, a new save with an existing club, an old save with a new club, or an old save with an existing club, I get the greyed out option "This category is already active".

Carl's Guide on Making Clubs mentions having the same categories in multiple slots, so it was a known feature before.

A note on requirements - When you select multiple things in one rule - for example under skills - you can check Dancing, DJ, Programming. If a Sim has any of those 3 skills at level 2 they can join - these are lumped into one rule. However, if you make 3 rules - must have level 2 dancing, must have level 2 DJ, level 2 Programming and a Sim only has level 2 Dancing, they CAN'T join. So you can select skills, careers, and traits in bunches if you want Sims to have this or that, or make a separate rule if you require them to have both. A good example is the existing Spin Masters Club. They require DJ Mixing OR Dancing level 2, not both.

OK. I see. Maybe there was some reason to change this.

Up to Maxis to decide if this was a purposefully design choice. 

I knew this could break existing Clubs, and limit others, when I first tested the Small Business system. Club requirements, specifically Traits (maybe others too), could be selected in more than one slot, but this changed either with the pre-patch or the new pack (I haven't tested without B&H). This change was likely made for, and also effects, Small Business Target Customers too.

Trait requirements (since the release of the Club system) used work as follows:

• If a single Trait is selected in a slot, it's a specific requirement to join.
• If multiple traits are selected in one slot, it's an OR situation. Sims must have any of the Traits to join.
• If Traits are selected in more than one slot, it's an AND situation. So sims need a Trait from each slot to join.
  
  

So I could make a Book Club with one slot containing only Bookworm (required for all sims), and another slot with social Traits (like Outgoing, Insider etc) to ensure they weren't a Loner who wouldn't want to join random, non-Friend Clubs or someone ambivalent to socialising over a hobby.

Now my choices are:

• ONLY Bookworm - Bookworms join/visit Small Business, but so might Loner sims that likely wouldn't want to do that.
• Bookworm & social traits in one slot - Some of the joining/visiting sims won't be Bookworms.

Neither of the above options works for what I was trying to achieve. Additionally, during the promotion of Get Together, this AND/OR system for Club Requirements was directly mentioned, but is no longer a feature.

If this was an intentional change by the dev team, I cannot imagine why.  This change to clubs is bordering game ruining for me personally.

I'm hoping this was an unintended side effect of the B&H system and can/will be rectified if it is noticed.

This is actually incredibly important. I want the freedom of creating whatever type of club I want within the limitations of Get Together as it was when I purchased it. (I would like the same rules to work for Businesses & hobby too but it's unacceptable for another pack added to ruin our experience with a previous one.)

Creating a club with Evil AND Art lover sims is completely different from having a club with Evil OR Art lover sims. The 2nd one absolutely defeats the purpose of trying to have a club of evil villain sims that appreciate fine art together.

In Businesses and hobby, I'd want a similar option of, for example, creating a small magic shop specialising in dark arts (in the style of Borgin & Burkes) selling cursed potions and whatever questionable magical items. Its clientele should obviously be, for immersion's sake, Evil AND Spellcaster sims. Not just any spellcasters but specifically those who you'd think to be interested in buying such items.

Tldr; please fix AND/OR logic of admission rules for creating new clubs and modifying existing ones. Please let us have the option for similar functionality in Businesses & hobby. 

P.S. It would be super fun to have an XOR rule too! Or do we have a negative admission rule implemented already and I just never utilised it..? ("Basically anyone is welcome to my cooking club except for sims that are both Vegetarian and Lactose intolerant 'cause I don't wanna deal with that!" :D)

Wondering if there's any update on this issue? siirysiir explained it so well that I didn't chime in, but this is exactly the fix I've been hoping for too.

I had really enjoyed using the club filter and it had been a big part of my gameplay. Is there any hope of restoring this functionality with a future update?
