[GTW] [DU] Servos Get Sick

A robot must have organs to get sick? And they have none because they're robots, right?

Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title fit migrated bug report.

Archived thread had around 53 me toos

  • Hello, Found a temp fix for this. Split your servo from family. Then save them to your gallery.  Add the new copy of them from your gallery to the game and then re-add them to your family. They will no longer have relationships but a lot of the other details and life accomplishments will stay.

Not sure if I should comment here or make my own post, but my servo has an ailment. Specifically Luck Magnet. It's really jarring when my robot runs off to throw up in the toilet.

I recommend making your own because if I were to update this report to include ailments they'll probably mark it as a multi report and therefore will lock the thread.

  • I get sick servos too. I don't know if this is still a think but a year or so ago a servo I played wanted to have a drink at a bar and become another occult as well.

They can get pregnant by alien abduction as well. I have one servo that had several alien kids. I like that they can have kids that way, but also don't like it at the same time since a servo is supposed to be a robot so they should not be able to be pregnant.

It makes it very obvious that they are human sims with a robot overlay when things like these (getting sick etc) happen to them :/

  • Hello

I'm not talking about Ailments from the Fairy DLC. I'm talking about Get to Work's outdated doctor illness system that chips in automatically whenever it feels like it even if you never touch the doctor career. Since this is one of the first DLCs it's been overlooked for a long time. Servos cannot even take medicine to cure it and just have to wait the whole thing out, and the Illness Resistance trait from the doctor career doesn't help much either. Instead of preventing sickness, it makes it happen a little less and cuts the timer from 4 hours to 3 hours which really isn't anything much in the grand scheme of things.

My suggestion for this though is to not just prevent Servos from getting this illness, but to actually add a similar toggle for Get to Work illness that Ailments have. One that just completely turns it off. If you never become a doctor, then it really shouldn't have any effect on your game. Please consider adding a toggle for Get to Work illnesses.

    Thank you
