Same has happened to me. I got stuck at the hospital with one of my sims. It wouldn't let me go home, and it wouldn't take me to the back. I checked in about 5 times. The doctor stood in the snow for a little while, then another doctor spawned after the labor timer had gone down and restarted twice. I'm on PS5 so no mods or cc. It has happened more than once, and not just with this one sim.
