Hats missing from premade several outfits

I have been experiencing the missing beekeeper hat issue for over a week now but not with all sims. Two of my pre-existing, played sims will switch into the full beekeeper suit including hat while at least another 8 will not. One of those who switches into hat is a single, premade alien (she spawned in game) living in Brindleton Bay while the other is Mary Greenburg who still lives in her original Evergreen Harbor home. While Mary is happy to don the beekeeper's hat, Blossom and Knox will not wear one. I have checked most other adult sims in Brindleton Bay, Evergreen Harbor, and seven other worlds in which I have active households and no one else will change into the hat when directed to wear the beekeeper's suit. Both the sims who will wear the hat have had their hives since before the Emit Relevart event. Other sims who had hives longer or newly placed hives still scorn the headgear.

Sims who change into the beekeeper's suit sans chapeau do not have the option to "remove beekeeper suit" while "change into beekeeper suit" remains as if the game knows they did not fully change to begin with. I tried sims with the exact hairs as the two who will wear the hat but they also refused to wear it.
