I have a problem with the latest September 2025 update on PC: The hiking sandals from the call of the wild event and the new headband are still spawning on the new townies in my game. It's a bit weird and I think it's a game bug.
Hiking sandals spawn on all swimwear townies, and the headband spawns very often unlike other hats.
Do other people have the same problem? Is there a solution?
I only use the MCC mod but it still happens without this mod.
how did you test without mods/cc ? Did you start a new save and check if it also happens there with an emtpy mods folder (except resource.cfg) or did remove the mods and the Sims still had those sandals/headband ?
Yes...I'm finding the big bow headband is the latest fashion of most of the randomly generated townies - I guess the constant eyeball ring finally went out of fashion, and this became the new fad 🙃
Same thing here, they show up almost always on swimwear outfits, With no mods installed same thing, new and old save files, I actually ended up making an override for all of them just to stop it from happening.
The sandals are irritating, but THE BOW!! I'm playing Strangerville and military personnel and research scientists walk around with that stupid bow on their head while in uniform.

In my game, whenever a sim ages up and I edit them in CAS, the hiking boots are automatically assigned as footwear on all of their swimwear outfits.
Yes! Since they are the only footwear EVERY sim in my game has them for swimwear, and agree the prevalence of the headband and sandals is way more frequent than any other item. I think since the headband is the only one in it’s category, Sims are equally like to have that headband as they are to have ANY hat. And I want no one to have that headband, personally
