Hotkeys for Speeding Up Time not Working

I’m having this issue on random lots, I do not use cc or mods 

I have all the packs, all are currently active. 

No mods. Localthumbscache.package file has tried to be deleted.

Error: buttons 1, 2, and 3, stops working after a few minutes of gameplay, just after a "September Sale" pops up (which also gets in the way of the game messages, btw, pretty annoying!

And no, it's not my keyboard, as you can see, it can easily write 1 2 and 3, when not in game! It's your annoying AD! Please remove it!

I have a problem with the speed in live mode. When I want to change the speed of time in the game, it doesn’t work with the keyboard (1 – speed 1, 2 – speed 2...). I have to go to Manage Worlds and then go back so I can use my keyboard again

Could this be the reason for you too ?

If not, what's your platform ? Any mods/cc ?

Every so often, 1, 2, 3 and 0 keys stop working so I'm unable to change the speed or pause live mode. Have seen another suggestion that it could be the September sale popup but I've hovered over to get rid of this many times and it doesn't seem to have an effect. I do currently have mods in my game but have checked that they're all up to date. First noticed yesterday (16th Sep) but have played fine since the most recent update until then. Have also tried repairing game to no effect. Both top number bar and side number pad affected.

After loading screens the keyboard hot keys for in-game speed do not work (~, 1, 2, 3). Other hot keys, like space bar, to switch between sims still works, just not speed keys. It will be working before the load screen then after, it does not.

I am experiencing this issue as well.  I am playing vanilla w/o mods and am having the same issue.  I cannot press "P" for pause, the speed numbers (1,2,3) to speed up as well as I can't press "J" for job and "I" for my sims inventory.  Thank goodness I am not the only one experiencing this weird bug all of a sudden.

I noticed this bug the last time I played too (a couple days ago). My keyboard hotkeys stop working after I hover over the Shop button. What actually helped me was clicking on the Shop button, then you can hit Escape and get out of the pop-up. After that my hotkeys are restored. Before that, ALL hotkeys don't seem to work, like the hand (H) in build/buy mode, eyedropper (R) in build/buy, the time hotkeys (1,2,3) in live mode, pause (P) in live mode, live mode toggle (F1), buy mode toggle (F2) and build mode toggle (F3).
