I've been seeing horses getting phone calls (which they can't answer as horses don't have phones) for a while now, mostly in saves with mods. Just now I saw a horse get a call in a save that has had mods disabled since the beginning. Not sure when this behavior began, but probably after Life and Death.
I don't normally play with cats or dogs in my household, so don't know if they are also getting phone calls. Phone calls should not be targeted at pets, they don't have phones.
