This bug was fixed, but it's now back again.
The cafeteria worker does not stay at school, and no one can eat during the day. The worker is present when our student arrives at school, but then leaves. This bug occurs after playing for a while in the same game save.
I'm playing on PC and I don't use any mod or cc.
did you never use mods/cc or remove them ? Please choose a thread tag for that.
Is this an older save started before the bug was fixed or afterwards ?
When my sims go to school, the Cafeteria worker leaves and comes back after lunch. If the students want food it magically appears in their hands. Has anyone else experienced this or is it unique to my save file? I did start with an empty save file. I'm on PC and play vanilla.

Hi crinrict. This is an old save file, but not that old—it’s from September 2025. The patch that fixed the issue worked for a while on this save, but now the problem has returned, and I don’t know why.
Hi crinrict No it's a new save file. It was completely empty and I put a school down from the gallery.

could you test yet another save to see if it works in the original school ? Maybe it's an issue with a custom school
Hello crinrict I did what you suggested and it worked absolutely fine. I guess the problem is with older saves. I will try out the EA high school and see if that works. The cafeteria worker only comes back at 3.30 when school is finished. Very strange.
Could you try if it works if you replace the counter in your game with a new one ?
Happens to me too. Replacing the counter doesnt always fix it. For example it fixed it in another save I played but now in the save im playing it doesnt. This my chidren starve every day at school.
