I play on pc and when I take my Sim to high school and they have career day the UI does not show the tasks to Get Details from the presenting Sims. Also when I click on the teacher there is no option to Talk about the future but sometimes my Sim gets the scared moodlet about their future. I have all the packs and this is a mod/cc free save and has not had mods/cc. See photos attached.

I can confirm that I have experienced no tasks for career day also, more recently in a mod free save. Note that I first experienced this back in late June in a modded save (one mod let me see tasks, otherwise I may not have noticed it back then).
I expect the option to 'discuss fears' is tied to the teens completing the 'ask for details' from the three visiting professionals, and since there is no UI to mark it as complete (no UI other than to specify it is career day), I'm guessing the option to discuss future never comes up. My teens did still have the option to ask about career to all three visiting professionals (and once asked, the option disappeared for the teen, which is how it's always been).

Was just coming here to post that there are no task for Career Day. My teen still got credit for it in the Aspiration, but kind of a dud event.
