You should get a popup to ask if you want to attend. At the event you don't have goals as such if you are a YA. You get a notification to take a seat and wait for the speech and to get your diploma when your name is called. If you did not get a diploma at the event you can order it through mail. To get a photo click on the backdrop and choose it there.
If you are still a teenager on graduation I think you have goals there.
really? i could have sworn that my graduation ceremony events used to be goaled; ive had HSY since release and back then, my graduation ceremonies used to work fine but now my diploma never arrives but a random bb copy does that I can only view and nothing else. No graduation photo or anything else included anymore. And when the ceremonies do occur now, the graduates get stuck in a random loop of “showing diploma” or something like that, so my sims usually can’t get the walk across the stage animation bc they keep getting interrupted. i think that’s why my diplomas never arrive
