[HSY] Homeless, unplayed teen sims never age up

It’s also a problem because it would be nice if my current generation sims weren’t hanging out with the same teens their great grandmother knew. The teens at the high school are the peers for my sims, so those are potential friends, lovers, spouses, workmates. They should all "grow up" together and not just be forever teens. They used to age up just fine when HSY first came out, but at some point that changed. I've had this problem for quite a while now. Can’t remember exactly when it started. It’s definitely a bug and it needs to be fixed.

I have discovered that if I place the teens into the (played) My Household tab (without actually playing them) they do seem to age up normally all by themselves on their birthdays. Maybe that workaround might work for others having this problem.
