I also had all of these issues. The UI is clearly using the holiday format, which looks broken and is missing a lot of information. Additionally, if there is a holiday active (including surprise holidays), then the tasks are not visible for all sims. I followed four teen sims to active high school on The Lottery, and only one of them had visible tasks. The rest of them only showed The Lottery in the UI. I could only fix this by ending the holiday before sending them to school.
Could you please create a separate thread for the holiday ui issue.

Absolutely! I just thought it would be marked as a duplicate if I did.
Just be sure to only make it about the holiday and not about the time thing. The task switching also needs it's own thread. Also make sure to add pics.
