Infant/Toddlers loose interactions after Daycare (Nanny/Daycare choice dialog)

Every time my sim leaves the plot and comes back home, I cannot care for her child from her or the child's viewpoint.  When I am on her it will just say actions over the child and let me go to view profile or mod cheats while when I am on the child, I can ask her to do things for him, but it does nothing, she stands there or does whatever she wants. I have to exit and save or go to manage worlds every time she goes to work just to care for her baby/infant/toddler.
