I have this same issue, and have had it for a long time. Lately it’s been getting worse and happening a lot to certain sims in a household. Not sure why.. the task is visible but never performed. I can cancel it, and it will grey out but never go away. If I change to another playable sim in the household and then switch back, the task will be there again, not grayed out/crossed, and still not be carried out.. the reset cheat helps, and traveling with the sim helps. But after a short while the issue begins again
