I am also having this issue. With further playing, I can say the bug only occurs when you moving things directly from an item; fridge, chest, flower arranging table etc, directly into a Sims inventory. It works fine moving items from the sims inventory and it works fine if you move items from eg ,a fridge onto a surface or the floor etc.
The bug only occurs when you move items from something directly into a sims inventory. The only way to fix this bug when it occurs is to quit without saving, return to the main menu & reload.
Side note, so many bugs have been introduced since the December 2025 patch. We desperately need a hot fix!
