Items are getting stuck in the grab hand when moving from stacks to inventory

Trying to move anything between storage (ex: the fridge) and the sims inventory is moving the first stack and then automatically selecting another object in the storage. The next item or stack select...

Happened to me too when I tried to move sheep wool between the horse ranch storage box and my inventory... I had to close to main menu to make it release. But when I went back and tried to move other stuff between inventory and the box, they got stuck and refused to move again. Play on PC, never used mods or cc.
