Items are getting stuck in the grab hand when moving from stacks to inventory

Trying to move anything between storage (ex: the fridge) and the sims inventory is moving the first stack and then automatically selecting another object in the storage. The next item or stack select...

I want to add that when things are stuck, one of the things that you can do is to hit the ESC key. This will often unstick the item. But it doesn't always work. It also pays to not save your game when this happens. Go into build mode to unstick and exit without saving.
