Items are getting stuck in the grab hand when moving from stacks to inventory

Trying to move anything between storage (ex: the fridge) and the sims inventory is moving the first stack and then automatically selecting another object in the storage. The next item or stack selected is permanently stuck on the hand causing multiple issues. I've tested this with multiple saves, and new saves. It happens in all of the old saves. In a new save, the problem does not occur UNLESS you go into an old save with the problem and then load the new save. The problem will then occur in the new save.

Things I have tried. 

Reverting to an older save
Repairing game
Removing the sims 4 folder and allowing the game to rebuild it, then moving the old saves back.

The screenshots show a stack of onions stuck in my "hand" and the floating second stack when clicking on something with the stuck object. You can also see it remains stuck when going into the game menu.

This problem occurred in every scenario I tested it in, so my game is essentially unplayable, unless I just don't use the sims inventory at all.

    So, testing with the fresh game and new save, everything was fine until I got a certain number of items in the fridge, I spammed seed packets, then the problem would occur. Also, if I had the problem, quit to main menu, then started a new save without restarting, the problem would exist immediately in the new save.

    Also having this issue with at least one older save. Didn't have the issue upon trying a new save.

    I normally play with mods, but I took everything out, deleted the localthumbcache file & resource.cfg file and tested it vanilla/no mods. I also tried repairing my game, and had no luck. All the same issues as OP. New save files are there are no issues, but old files I can't drag from storage to inventory.

    This makes the game unplayable for me. Please fix ASAP.

    I tested your saves and can duplicate the issue but only if I move something from the fridge to the Sim and not the other way round. It also didn't happen all the time. For most saves I tried I could just click on an empty space or click with the right mouse button. Was a bit of a hit and miss.

    One question about the new save you had this on: Did you go back to the main menu and then start the new save from there or did you shut down the game and then test a new save ?

    Retested one of my saves that way and couldn't duplicate.

    Would you be willing to share your save with me ?

    Hello,

    For some time now, I've been experiencing a bug where, when I try to drag items from the chest into my inventory, the object gets stuck on my mouse cursor and I can't do anything.

    I have to restart my game every time to play normally again.

    It's very annoying when you want to move and empty the chest beforehand.

    I hope this bug can be fixed.
