When I try to place items in build mode on my home lot and others they disappear and I can’t place them.
i had this issue a few months ago and moved to a new save file which fixed it however this has now started in my new save file. When this occurs I have tried restarting the same but the issue still occurs
Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
- Is your game updated ? There was a fix for this in the last patch although there's still one open issue
- Can you not place any items at all ?
wow - i had this issue right now, and the first ! time .
Playing xbox seriesX, never used CC or mods, my game is completely updated („sigh"), the cache is deleted regularly !
I downloaded a proberty (a create a few years ago... as i just own the base-game) , go into buy and build mode , changed the kind of property to "lounge", for that i had to change some interior ... everything seems to be allright so far, ... but as i want to place the object by pushing A ... it just disappears ... without a noise ... and taking the guitar, which is already there, to put it somewhere else ... pushing the A-button to place the guitar >does not work. Pushing B - and the guitar is back in its old spot.
Hours before this , i already downloaded a lot of properties and households, and edited them without any problems -well ... except the one , that the online gallery only works a limited time and then i am forced to softlock ...
Same question for you:
- Can you not place any items at all ?

- Did you edit the other lots in the same play session or a different one

Same session , but as i already mentioned the online gallery's dysfunction has repeatedly forced me to softlock & restart Sims4 in between.
So i'm sorry to say : I just had the guitar in my "hand" a few times and i tried to place a two-seater sofa & a mic out of the ‘to buy-list‘ a few times- that was enough for me, i didn't try anythng else and went back to ‘world mode‘ , want to place another downloaded property, but then i stucked in online gallery again >> game-restart...
Perhaps it matters , i did this from ‘world-mode‘ and the property didn't have a household (just like the others, which didn't show this dysfunction).
After the restart, i went back onto this property again and everything worked as usual (except that anything but the things from the basegame- was marked as new again ...) .
