Hi there,
It has been funny, I've experienced the same issue. But, in my game, when my sim arrived to the well of Longing and Regret, it was Edith herself who was standing near the well. Suddendly, a townie popped up and Edith penetrated into her. After that, it was the townie who my sim had to interact. Weird or funny?
