[LD] Tarot Card: Only 24 in inventory but 25 in collection

do you have a backup from before you found the last card to try if it works if you try again ?

The collections found count doesn't show how many of a specific collection you found

No, I don't have an earlier save, sorry.

I attached a PNG screen shot showing both the collections, in my email above. But, I'm new to posting things, so I may have done something wrong.

The first screenshot just wasn't showing the tarot card bit as it was scrolled up a bit too high.

Did you check if you can find the card in buydebug and add that ?

The game probably couldn't add the card to your inventory before it crashed.

Windy629 I think your issue might be due to the crash where the collection got credited but the crash came before the card showed up in the sim's inventory.  There might be a way around it.  You could try moving the sim with the cards out of their current household onto another lot.  Leave the rest where they are.  I see from your screenshot, that it looks like there are 2 teen and above sims in the household so that should work.  If there's only the one teen and above sim, you'll need to move a one in temporarily. 

When you get the sim on the other lot alone with the cards in their inventory, the collection should reset and show which card the sim is missing.  Then go to Ravenwood and check one of the podiums.  I found that if you lose a card you've already collected, there is an option to recover the card that went missing.  If that doesn't work, then go get that card per the tooltip.  Once you have the card, check the deck to make sure that the option to call Grim is there but don't use it yet.  Once you've made sure the option is there, move the sim back to the original lot.  Then use the option and call Grim to get the last card.  You should be good to go from there.

Hi, I had to do a little homework re: buydebug, lol I didn't know what that was. Anyway, I found 2 cards in debug, they're both look the same, but they don't do anything. I can drop them on the ground, but I can't even touch them to put in my inventory. I might be doing something wrong. I've played Sims for a long time, but I'm not savvy with the cool stuff. 

However, I followed the suggestion from CGrant56 and it worked, almost!  I moved her out, then called her to the shrine. The very first menu (?) that came up said Retrieve missing card, or something like that. She stopped to chat and when she decided to show up, the interaction was gone. It just showed the regular info.

So, I quit without saving and tried again. She went to a different shrine and made a hand gesture as if picking something up. I checked my inventory, and I now see the empty spot where the missing card goes. But, I cannot get the card... because it's the High Spellcaster, the 1st card you get when starting the journey at the shrine.

I've moved twice, both without saving. Visited all 3 shrines, I've logged out/quit the game shut it down without saving, and every time it's the same result.

3/3/25, it's the same as before. You can (faintly) see the deck on the right with 24 and the collection with 25.

The first pic below is after shutting down, moving out of the old house (alone), and heading to the Shrine. So far so good.

I get the interaction to retrieve the missing card! So far so good.

Now, my collection inventory shows the MISSING space for the High Spellcaster, which as you know, is necessary to start the collection. And, still 24 cards in my inventory.

If I quit, without saving and am back at the original house, I'm back to square one.

I'm going to continue playing my original game in the meantime. Because, she got pregnant, got married and inherited an infant and a cat she didn't know he had!!  Creep said he was single! LOL.

Thank you so much for your detailed instructions, they are spot on. However, my game is not cooperating!  Please see my lengthy results above. I was so excited when I saw the first shrine and it doing just as you said, until...

When I researched what is missing, I was surprised to find it's Card #1, how in the world could that be? Ghostly shenanigans.

Windy629  There is one more thing you can try.  Go back to any mausoleum and enter.  If you keep doing it, the card may show up.  After completing the collection the first time, I changed households to Vlad's because I wanted to see if vampires had gotten any new options (they didn't).  To speed things up, I added a mausoleum on the lot.  While I had other sims doing other things, I sent Vlad into the mausoleum to see if I could get the cards you get from those and was surprised that I when I started getting cards that you got doing the errands and/or other places.  So, I kept sending him in just to see if I could get all of them.  That didn't work out, but I only had to do only two of the errands as I already had the rest of them from the mausoleum.  You can still do the errands later if you want to but you just don't get the card again when you complete the errand.  I also got the Wands card that I had bought from the stall vendor at Magic HQ the first time.  You could also try doing that if you have Realm of Magic.  So, maybe doing those things will give you the missing card.  It might not work but it's probably worth a try anyway.

Okay, I'm willing to try anything. I do have Realm of magic, so I'll go look around there, as well as the crypts.

It's maddening, because it's the first card everyone needs to get started on the quest. Without that one, I shouldn't have any. 

I'll definitely give your suggestions a whirl tonight! Fingers crossed.

Windy629  Actually, I don't think you have to do it that way.  When I traveled to Ravenwood the first time, I landed on the lot with the 2 female ghosts and while I was talking to them, I saw the options for the errands on Esther.  So, I clicked on it and did those first.  Along the way, I found other cards as I was working on the aspiration at the same time and went into the crypt and my sim seemed to get stuck in there because I couldn't seem to make the right choice needed to get him out.  (I thought it worked like it did for getting to Sylvan Glade or the Grotto.  I found out later that all that I needed to do was cancel the queue action, which I never thought of at the time 🤦‍♂️).  Anyway, I had four or five cards before I even saw the shrine and clicked on it.  It was one of those "Hmmm, wonder what that does" type of things, Lol!  Based on what I found when I was playing through the 2nd time with Vlad, I'm of the opinion that there is more than one way to find any given card particularly if you keeping searching in the crypt.  So, don't give up.

And I thought of something else you might want to try.  Switch households and play another sim to gather the cards and complete the collection.  Then go back to the first household and try again to find the missing card.  Idk if that will work but if don't find the missing card right now, it might reset things and give you the card when you try again.
