Yeah, happens with my sim too. First time I dealt with curse properly, but it keeps reappearing again and again and again every few sim-hours.
I got rid of the ring in the cas, but it didn`t helped.
To play in another family for a few hours didn`t helped too. I think it only dies with my sim and continues to hunt him in another life.
It is definitely bugged.
