Ideas
Vanilla game, no CC or mods. I actually ended up here after going down the rabbit hole and trying CC for the first time trying to get rid of this. I was just starting a scenario playthrough of Power Couple, and both Sims were wearing that stupid ring because I had no idea it would lead me to be cursed. I was able to switch aspirations with one character and then disable the curse, but it keeps re-occuring for him. The other Sim, no matter if I fulfill a fortune aspiration, it will not even make Disable the Curse an option. I have removed the ring from all outfits of both Sims and consumed several potions of curse cleansing, and nothing. I will be less likely to participate in future events because I will likely have to scrap this entire save now. Fix this quickly, it's very frustrating.
You need to complete a fortune aspiration. When you’ve completed it, you will have disabled the curse. All you need to do then is click on your sim and an action bubble will pop up letting you disable it. You may have to select more choices a couple times before you see it. Hopefully that helps. It took me a while to figure it out as well.

The issue is the curse keeps coming back, I put it on my sim who has completed a fortune aspiration clicked through found the option to disable the curse and even got a positive mood let to reflect that. Then I traveled off lot and the curse moodlet came right back

So much this. It's not even just when you travel; going into build / buy mode or CAS also re-triggers the curse. Or napping, apparently. Every time I look at the moodlets of the noble I put the ring on, they have the curse moodlet, the curse removed moodlet, OR BOTH.

So when it says complete a fortune aspiration, does that mean like the entire aspiration or would a milestone suffice? e.g. I just completed the "Going for Not Broke" milestone for the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration and I'm still not able to disable it. I put it on my teen sim and took it right off after finding this out but the curse is still there. I feel like she's gonna be uncomfortable for a long time lmao

The WHOLE aspiration. Not just a milestone or a stage. The whole aspiration.
you have to complete the entire 4 stages of the “fabulously wealthy” or the other one.
I said screw it and motherloded through because this was getting stupid. I don’t even know HOW I got this stupid ring/curse in the fist place.
I’ve disabled it. I thought, okay maybe I just have to go through and disable on all outfits and be good. Nope.
Can get it off in CAS. Have to CONTINUOUSLY disable the stupid curse. And can’t even get someone else to take the **bleep** ring (which I’ve read hasn’t even been working for people).
this is getting ridiculous and I’m about done playing.
I was without my computer for about 8months while my husband did a full rebuild of both our computers and I come back to this crap. I’m not impressed.- Ventuso116 days agoNew Spectator
Oh wow that's a hefty consequence for something so small lol. Yeah that is frustrating, thanks for clarifying.

I’ve done all that and it keeps coming back. It’s hella bugged. You have to disable to curse every outfit change. Every move between lots.

Even after completing the entire fortune aspiration and disabling the curse, the mood buff keeps popping up. I even removed the ring in CAS and it still keeps popping up. The ring is 1000% bugged 😭
