So, to keep them married.. I just never have to enter CAS until this is fixed 🙃
They lose their marriage status, and the romance bar goes from 100 to 50 each time. I really hope this is on the next laundry list because it's a little frustrating to have to cheat the marriage each time. I have my cheats on, shift-click them, then cheat the 'Spouse' relationship. It only happens to my played household. All other households (even if they are in my played household list) remain married. It's only the currently played household, and if you enter their CAS. I use MCCC sometimes to edit NPCs' outfits, and I can say that it's definitely when you enter your own CAS. - ChelleBelle7162 hours agoSeasoned Veteran
Huh. I have noticed this happening in my game but cannot link it directly to CAS with certainty. I recently rotated in to play a household I had not played in a long time and somewhere along the way, on their own, the couple had gotten divorced. I don't have any kind of autonomy turned on for that kind of thing so it should never happen. This isn't the first time either.

Same issue...My long-time married couple was not married any more after I changed their outfits and looks.

Just got a phonecall from my Sim's brother in law - and he said "congrats on dating Luna now" - they've been married for weeks (so no, the "Just married" or "propose" moodlet was not still there) and dating forever. Their daughter just aged up into young adult. This Sims is almost an Elder...
But yes, I was in CAS after the daughter aged up to change some outfits. So I guess that's actually this glitch.
But I think it only happens when I go into CAS while in the active household. When I checked the households of my extended family (all in "my played households" as well) and change the outfits whenever a kid ages up, they seem to be still married afterwards. - pineapplewhit1 day agoSeasoned Newcomer
For me, this happens to all my married couples. They get married (the certificate is in their inventory), and then when I insert CAS to change outfits for their offspring, they aren't married anymore (the options to ask family members for blessing appears, and propose is there when I click on the significant other). I play with no mods, and this is a new-ish save (on second generation).

I'm having this issue too since a couple of weeks. It's so annoying. Also, I can't use cheats, because I'm on console and haven't gotten all trophies yet, and using cheats on the PS5 disables trophies for some dumb reason.

This bug is caused by one of the updates I think was June and they don't bother to fix it
just got back into the game recently and it’s happening for me. At first I thought it was because I had my sim marry Cordelia, and the game didn’t want that happening. Then I looked it up and realized it’s a known issue. This is now the third time I’ve had to have flirt enough to propose and get married again.
For me it is happening also to couples that recently broke up or became "just friends". My sim had a relationship with a ghost and they decided to be just friends but everytime i open my game or go out of cas or manage worlds, they become partners once again. It's so annoying!
