I just encountered a bug where my Sim's wedding (with My Wedding Stories) can't end. There isn't an X button to end it like normal (pictured below) and the wedding event no longer appears on the calendar.
The only solution I've found is to exit to the main menu, click "load game" so you enter the save via Manage Worlds rather than live mode, and then visiting a different lot with all of my household's Sims.
I have most DLC installed except a bunch of kits, Life & Death, Enchanted by Nature, and Adventure Awaits. I also play with script mods (including a few UI mods) and custom content installed, so I'm not sure if this is a mod bug or a game bug. That said, none of the script mods I'm using are new to me and I've never encountered this before with them installed.

alexanderfels Dannirossb Always good to assume first that your issue is mods. Start at Previously Broken mods and CC and the current Broken and Updated Mods and CC list. Any time there's a game patch, a mod that was fine before can be not fine now.

I just had this happen. I was able to go into cas, then click manage worlds from there. Went to a neighbors place and invited my sims there and was able to get out of the event. I know it’s a little late to help you but just in case somebody else is having the same problem.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I just ran into this issue and that’s the only thing that helped.
Ok! This was plaguing me for two days. Finally I went to the neighborhood my sims lived in. Clicked on their house and then clicked visit highlighting the both of them. It brought them home and they were still married! So the wedding still happened without having to do it all over again.

Yes, same problem here.
Couldn't use M, go home, or an X and even saving and going to main menu didn't solve it.
But! My freshly wed family could go volunteer together through their phone menu.
After they did, the social event finished 🥳
