[NCQE] Can't 'travel to Foundry Cove' if living there

Right after I finished updating my game (July 1 update, with no mods, and with the localthumbcache.package removed), I went back to the new mod-free save I started last week for the event. She was supposed to go to Foundry Cove, so I found that in the phone and clicked it. It asked if I wanted her to go to Foundry Cove and I clicked "yes." Nothing happened, so I did it again. I then did a search to find what to do. It said to completely remove the Sims 4 folder, repair the game and try again. I did that but the same thing happened (ie, I got the popup asking if she wanted to go, but clicking that she did had no effect.) I didn't even put in "testingcheats" or "bb.moveobjects" just in case cheats might interfere. So, this is not a case that my save is corrupted.

I put my old save back in. I noticed that her home (a house on the same empty lot as I put the Sim in the totally new folder) was in Foundry Cove. Instead of using the "travel to Foundry Cove" I had her travel to one of the adjacent lots. She was able to travel using the regular method, and it did count for the event. I just couldn't use the travel option specifically for the event.

I have all the packs except for Bust the Dust, Goth Galore and Grunge Revival. I have a gaming PC laptop.

Did you try what I found worked? Instead of trying to use the "go to Foundry Cove" option, just use the regular travel and pick a lot that is in Foundry Cove.

I have the same problem, my sim can't go to Foudry Cove even if I click on the phone and this morning the "go to Foundry Cove" just disappear of the phone... I don't know what to do 😭

Have you guys tried just doing it with another Sim that's not living there ? I haven't had time to play but usually the tasks are not bound to a certain Sim

I had sims living there just travel to a neighboring lot (clicked on the house and travel here) and that worked for ticking off the "travel to foundry cove" from the UI.

I didn't try that, Crinrict. I would have had to make a new Sim or use a pre-existing Sim since it was a new save. And frankly, I didn't even think of it since I was able to get it to work another way.

I debated on reporting it, but I was concerned that others might have it happen and not think of trying to just travel to a different lot without the event method.

By the way, what does NCQE mean?

I have a family who lives on foundry cove and when I try to play with that family, the same thing happens as if I'm doing the travel to foundry cove option. Anyone else?
