Nectar Maker Unusable

I just updated my game for week 2 of the Nature's Calling Event. After I finished the quests for this week, I went back to the storyline I was playing. My Sim not only cannot drag dishes to the sink or trash, but also cannot use the Nectar Maker. I tried debugging both him and the object, and even made him drink Vitality Nectar to resurrect him to try again, but the nectar maker just does not function to make nectar at all.
