I just got the Island Living pack and have made a mermaid sim. But I can't get her to swim in the ocean. Or any sim. Even the NPCs don't seem to swim in the ocean. I am wondering if I accidently turn...
Ideas
no 'swim in ocean' option

Maybe try uninstalling the EA app. It worked for me.
Symptoms:
1. Sims cannot swim in Sulani
2. Ocean acts like land
3. “Build Sand Sculpture” appears in water
4. Happens even in brand-new saves
5. Still happens with only Base Game + Island Living installed
What DIDN’T work: Removing mods, deleting saves, Reinstalling Sims 4, Repairing the game, and Deleting "localthumbcache.package" only
What FINALLY fixed it:
- Completely quit Sims 4 and EA App
- Uninstall EA App (Not the Sims 4)
- Go to: ~/Library/Application Support/
- Delete ONLY EA-related folders such as: Electronic Arts, Origin, TS4 (Do NOT delete random Apple folders)
- Download and reinstall EA App again
- Launch Sims immediately and test the waters.
Result: all swimmable waters in Sulani and Gibbi Point worked perfectly again, even with my mods still installed.
Important: For me, the issue was NOT caused by: mods, saves, DLC Sims installation itself
Hopefully, this helps other players experiencing the same issue.
