no 'swim in ocean' option

Hi everyone! I’m slowly losing my mind here and I really need to know if anyone else is experiencing this nowadays, or if it's a known bug after a recent update.

Long story short: My Sims suddenly cannot swim or interact with the ocean in Sulani at all (same problem as described here by others!). When I click on the water, nothing happens (no menu, no options, completely unresponsive). Before you suggest the basic troubleshooting steps, please know that I have already tried EVERYTHING.

Here is what I've done today: I DO NOT use any mods or Custom Content (CC). My Mods folder is completely empty and disabled. I cleared the game cache (deleted localthumbcache.package and cleared the cachestr folder). I verified the integrity of the game files via Steam – everything is 100% correct and validated. I tried using in-game cheats to force-reset the island conservation stages or reload the script, but the game completely ignores the commands. I even recovered older saves from 5 and 14 days ago (back when everything was working perfectly) – and guess what? The ocean is broken there too now! Because it happens across ALL my save files – even the old ones where swimming used to work flawlessly – I am 100% sure this is NOT a corrupted save issue on my end. It feels like a core script in the game itself got completely broken by EA. Is anyone else dealing with this right now? Did Sulani just break for you too? I have a massive, multi-generational world with tons of families and custom towns, and I'm terrified of losing my progress. Any reassurance or info would be deeply appreciated!

EA_Solaire​Hi Any update on this annoying bug, the only thing that worked is resetting my PC then reinstall the game. Then when a patch came in or I claimed something in EA app, the swim function is gone missing again.... 😤

I bought the Island Living DLC and thought it was weird that my sim didn't have a custom plumbob and there was no badge(? I'm not sure what to call it) thing in the needs tab like the other occults. But I knew something was broken when I realized I couldn't ocean swim. So i tried swimming in a pool, totally fine, no problems with the tail. Tried to look for a solution online and found nothing of help. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the EA app after running a repair. There was a brief moment when I could ocean swim with the help of a mod, but I was only able to select play options from the mod and not that actual game itself. Sadly that has since broken as well after my mermaid some how got stuck in the ocean. The mods have been disabled but not uninstalled. I know I am missing out on a lot of playable content which makes me feel like all I bought was a new area and some building items. Any help fixing this issue will be greatly apricated.

I am writing to report a gameplay issue in The Sims 4. My Sims are unable to swim in the ocean, even though I own and have installed the Island Living expansion pack.

Platform: Mac

Troubleshooting steps I have already tried:

• Repaired the game using the EA App
• Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
• Cleared the game cache

Despite these actions, the problem persists. Sims still cannot enter or swim in the ocean.

I would appreciate your assistance in identifying the cause of this issue and providing guidance on how to resolve it so that the Island Living features function correctly on Mac.
