I got tired of playing with the wants and fears on and the lifestyles, so i turned them off in the settings. Even though they are turned off, my sims still have want bubbles above their heads and moodlets relating to lifestyles and fears. I repaired my game and even started a new save without turning on wants and fears and lifestyles, but they are still there.

Please create a separate thread for lifestyles. There's an old thread in the archive: [SE] Sims gain lifestyles even when lifestyles are disabled | EA Forums - 11462272 but since it didn't have any interactions for a while, it's best to create a new thread.
