I play on Windows with mod installed. This bug started in my game ever since the Business & Hobbies pack was released. What is frustrating is that when a lot of simmers complained, we were simply advised to save pictures to library and/or gallery before saving and quitting in case they turn black. Thanks to a save by RVSN I've been able to play fine with this bug (lol) but now ALL my pictures are black across my saves and even my sister that used to be grateful this bug didn't get her is now struggling with this. Don't get why this isn't being treated as urgent, as someone who plays a lot of legacy challenges it's so disappointing and frustrating. Please fix this soon :/
Edit : after reading tons of comments and trying to bypass this bug, the houses with black pictures refuse to be placed from my library and I tried and tested with/without mods. Hoping this gets fixed soon cause it's more than annoying.
The only solution I found was to recover an old save, enter, photograph the most important photos of my game, in my case for example I captured the image of the founders of my city and of my sim self, and I made some cc frames with sim4studio to save them permanently, I think there is no escape from the fury of EA against our most dear photo memories
