October 27th 2025. Still having this issue. I do not have any mods associated with build mode for this exact reason. All my mods are only for CAS. So don’t tell me it’s a mod issue when this happens with or without mods on fresh saves or not.
I have come across this issue more often on saves that are played in with more generations played. I don’t know if that means there is an issue with deaths on that lot I’m replacing, since they’re mostly community lots I replace. I don’t have many for rent lots in my world.
last night I opened my game and edited about 6-7 families I have made through manage world, manage households. no cheats applied. I added all my families to the gallery, so the gallery was working for me. While I opened my gallery i decided to check the gallery for anything new I would like. I found a willow creek park update with toddler equipment, new kids equipment, pet equipment (so this makes the lot TREMENDOUSLY MORE USEFUL FOR GAMEPLAY) Yet, I just got an endless loading loop. The lot I replacing was a custom gallery lot. I didn’t hit save so the hour I spent updating outfits and saving my sims to the gallery and forgetting to hit save and forgetting this was even STILL an issue you can run into, I just lost it all. And, to make it even better I don’t know if the force crashing of the application might have corrupted my save file. I let it load and went to bed last night hoping for it to actually load, but it didn’t and my computer ran while the sims ran my cpu the whole time.
I don’t understand how the sims hasn’t even acknowledged this issue and they don’t seem to care that this has been a problem sims 2014.
