Hi guys, I'm working my way through the Lost Legacies quest tasks, but I've hit an issue. The next task that I need to complete is to 'Travel to The Blue Velvet Nightclub'.....issue is, I scrapped The Blue Velvet Nightclub ages ago and turned it into a Residential Rental. When I take my Sim to the lot where The Blue Velvet used to be, nothing happens (event task remains incompleted). How do I get around this one? I want to progress in the quest, but can't seem to get past this. Do I need to create a new save? If I do that, will I have to complete the quest tasks all over again?
Just as a bit more info, when I completed the 'Blast from the Past' event a few months ago, there was a task which told me to go to Magnolia Blossom Park. Again, I had updated this lot and turned it into a Community Centre, but when I travelled there, the task completed itself, so not sure why the same thing isn't working this time 🤷🏼♀️
Any suggestions would be great, thanks! 🤗💕

Hi VanillaORB
yes, if you edited the lot you will need to do that task in a new save game. It will start with the tasks you haven't done yet.
If you don't necessarily want to do the events on your regular save, I suggest to just have an event save where you do all the events.
Play with a single Sim and don't change anything about the base game worlds. for that save. It doesn't matter where you do the event. Once you unlocked the items, they'll be availble in all your saves.

Thank you! Yeh I had to create a new save. It was good to know my event progress wouldn't be lost, so thank you for that. I'll definitely be keeping a separate save for events in future! Thanks for your help 🤘🏼🦄

I neither edited the library nor the Blue Velvet Lot and it isn't working on an old save. Only on a new one. So mayne..the ambassador moving into a lot might be the reason as someone else mentioned.

Hi! I did something similar and placed a restaurant in the lot forever ago. I went to the gallery and found a Blue Velvet Nightclub version and placed it back. I went to visit it with my sim and it worked! I didn’t even use the original Blue Velvet and used a reno but I did make sure it was a nightclub. Lost the restaurant which wasn’t a big deal. If you are attached to the house you could always save it to your gallery and replace later. Hope this works for you too!

I saw this comment, so I switched my cafe to a night club and had to add 3 barstools, but otherwise it was fine. Didn't even change the name, the royal envoy came by and I was able to complete the tasks without replacing my lot

This is good to know. I might try this in future to have a play around and see what works/doesn't work.
I ended up starting a new save to complete the task and I'll just keep that save unedited and use it for events in case any other hiccups come up.

I had a restaurant on the lot where Blue Velvet Nightclub used to be. For me it worked to just temporarily change the restaurant to a nightclub and add the items that were needed for the event, a piano and a fireplace.
