Not tasks showing, tried calling the Grim Reaper with the grimophone, tried researching my plants, planted new plants, cooked a meal at cooking level 3, nothing worked.

Having the same issue. Week 1 was buggy, but I was able to complete it. I shouldn't have to uninstall the game to fix something that EA should fix/shouldn't have been this buggy in the first place.

Same issue for me on week two again. I was able to finish week 1 after the last fix, and I got through almost to the end of week 2 tasks and they disappeared again. It's just showing the Grim in the corner. Nothing I try in-game seems to trigger anything. I can't find the old post with the fix from week 1 (I was going to try that again).

Update for me: I remembered the fix from last time. I copied the accountDataDB.package file onto my desktop. Then deleted the one in the Sims 4 folder. Then repaired the game. Then started the game, and resumed my game. It took a minute and then the tasks appeared and started again, so I can finish the quest now.
*Important Note: I realized after doing this, if I started it and then left the game(shut it off and came back the next day) it would be broken again. So the fix works but I had to finish the quests in one go to get it completed.

In my case I have "waiting for ambrosia society newsletter" which I can't complete because it won't deliver mail to me. And none of the week 2 quests have shown up. Maybe I have to complete that one before the week two ones will show up? But I can't because my mailperson is keeps bugging.

The update fixed mine at first and I was able to play for (2) days without issues, but last night I traveled to another location and back and now the UI is completely blank again. I play completely vanilla, no mods or cc. I tried restarting, new family, new save and repairing the game, nothing.

Has anyone found a solution? I literally just closed TS4 to play a game with friends and when I went back the tasks disappeared. Its almost like the event never happened except the event UI is still there, and it even shows my progress, I just can't seem to get the list of tasks for the event to return.

A friend suggested a workaround:
Try this! It solved my issue:
Delete the localthumbcache.package and copy the accountDataDB.package to somewhere else (in case you end up wanting to put it back). Remove it from your The Sims 4 directory. I also temporarily removed MCCC.
When I first reloaded my game, all it showed me was my progress on the quest and a little grimmie in the upper left. The rewards I'd earned were there, but no task list. I was disappointed. But something made me decide to try using the Grim-o-phone radio to summon Grim (which was one of the tasks I'd already done). That actually caused the whole task list to pull up again! I had to redo some of the tasks, but it was no biggie. At least I got the task list back!

I've never done any of that before, I'm afraid of messing my game up
