Receiving Notifications from other Households

LittleWOSS Really need you to remove all your mods.

I don’t use mods, I had already mentioned that. Only CC, which are just 2 eyelashes and 1 skin. I tested without this CC, repaired the game, deleted the old folder and generated a new one, only copying the save. No success. I still keep receiving fish notifications (only).

Anything in your mods folder is considered mod/cc and need removing. Thank you for testing without.

There is a very old bug that got fixed for fishing: [FIXED] Fish Notifications For Inactive Households/ Sims without skill | EA Forums - 11436599 although the patch notes are a bit off so maybe it just never got fixed properly and no one re-reported and there's also one for investing money: [OPEN] Message for investing money for a Sim not in household | EA Forums - 11233418 

Do you get any others ?

do you get other messages as the ones mentioned above ?

I was just playing with my current Sims household when up popped a notification for a random Sim I have never played, Raquel Croft. It let me know she had received a signing bonus due to her degree in this field.

I have never played as her, she is not in my played households in Manage Households, she is not living in any of the homes in the world, and the Sims I was playing haven't met her. (I did not see her when going through my current two adult Sims' relationships, and their baby doesn't know anyone but a neighbor who came with the Welcome Wagon. It's possible she knows someone in a different played household. I have a vague sense that she might have lived in the same dorm as one of my other Sims during university.) 

I paused as soon as it hit and searched the nearby world, but I could not see her wandering the nearby streets. (I can't find it now, but another bug thread that was similar, about a Sim I wasn't playing at the time getting an interest payment, it turned out that that sim was wandering the world nearby and the game thought of him as being on the currently-played sims' lot. The difference with that bug, though, was that that other Sim was one I had played before, though I wasn't playing him at that moment.)

However, when I checked recent neighborhood stories, a story did show up about her joining a career. And she might be somewhere nearby and I just am missing her. I'm including a Zip file with the save file and some screenshots. The Sims I was playing at the time of the notification are the Richard family in San Sequoia.

Playing on a Mac, never CC or mods. I did just get Businesses & Hobbies today, but I feel like I have seen this happen (quite rarely, and not for a long time) before.

Just to add about the other bug thread that I had thought I'd commented on, I believe it was this one or the one linked from it as the "please use going forward" thread, but I don't see any comments from me on either of them: Message for Investing Money For A Sim Not In Household. Did I put together a whole zip file with a save and screenshots for that one too but just never actually post about it? Maybe! 

Was the Sim on the lot ?

The current thread for messages for Sims not in household is here: Receiving Notifications from Other played Households | EA Forums - 11969780 but those were mostly for played households (rotational play) although one thread has unplayed ones too but the Sims were on the lot at the time. Do you know if Raquel was around somewhere at the time ?

I looked all around the neighborhood for about 10 minutes and could not find anyone but one random kid near the park. So I don’t know how else to check. Since I had not played her and she did not have a house, I could not hover over in the map for her current location which is how I discovered my other sim was around.
