Relationship changes in Neighbourhood stories isn’t working.

I have all the options for neighbourhood stories turned but when clicking the mailbox I no longer get told if anyone is dating. I’ve tried a combination of different neighbourhood story options, I’ve tried new saves and old saves, i sometimes get breakup notifications but no longer get told who’s dating. I don’t play with mods.
